The program of the Week of Italian Cuisine of the Italian Cultural Centre of New Delhi will address the concept of sustainability through a series of films and documentaries on the themes of eco-sustainable agriculture in its new forms, its impact on social life and communities and the deep relationship between peasant cultures and culinary tradition as constitutive elements of identity.
Guests of the week will be the film historian and former director of the Torino Film Festival Stefano Francia di Celle, curator of the film Festival dedicated to the themes of the Week, and the Apulian chef Antonio Cera, inventor of Grani Futuri, a cultural movement that spreads the tradition of bread between sustainability, the fight against waste and the protection of biodiversity.
Stefano Francia Di Celle (Turin, 1966) is a cultural manager, film historian and curator. Graduated in Film History and Criticism, at a very young age, he started collaborating with important film institutions and in Italy: From Sodoma to Hollywood Film Festival, National Film Archive of the Resistance, Young Cinema International Film Festival, Taormina Film Festival, Bellaria Film Festival, Rai. From 2003 to 2010, he curated retrospectives and monographic volumes for the Turin Film Festival. From 2004 to 2010 he was President and producer of “Il vento del cinema” in Procida, an international event dedicated to cinema and philosophy. He collaborated with Fondazione Prada, also programming their movie theater in Milan. Between 2012 and 2018 he has been collaborating with the Venice Film Festival for the Venice Classics section and in 2020 and 2021 he has been the Artistic Director of Turin Film Festival. Since 1996 has been working for Rai Radiotelevisione Italiana and is now in charge of film programming for Rai3, Rai Movie, Rai5 and Rai Storia tv channels for Film Direction and TV Serials.

6.30pm – Screening of “Slow Food Story” directed by Stefano Sardo followed by dinner. (both events by invitation only)
On all days Diva restaurant at IIC will present a special menu of the day inspired by the films.
