The University of Trento has published the admission calls for the 2025-2026 academic year for two Master’s Degree programs offered by the School of International Studies. The first is the Master’s in International Security Studies (MISS), offered jointly with the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, and the second is the Master’s in European and International Studies (MEIS). The language of all educational activities is English.
Both calls include a quota of reserved spots for non-EU citizens. This category includes candidates who:
  • Hold citizenship of a country outside the European Union and are not residents of Italy;
  • Hold citizenship of a country outside the European Union with a residence permit for study in Italy but do not have official residence in Italy;
  • Hold citizenship of a country outside the European Union with a temporary protection permit, do not have official residence in Italy, and have not obtained a high school diploma in Italy.
Top-ranking non-EU candidates in the selection process may be awarded scholarships covering part of their living expenses in Italy, amounting to a total of €7,200 per year. The available scholarships are 1 for the MISS program and 3 for the MEIS program.
In addition to scholarships, a larger number of students may qualify for an exemption from university tuition fees based on their admission ranking. Furthermore, there is an additional funding opportunity dedicated to the descendants of Trentino emigrants.
For non-EU citizens, the application deadline is set for March 6, 2025.
