The Italian Embassy Cultural Centre in collaboration with Fondazione Festival Pucciniano and India International Centre is delighted to present a special concert in tribute to Italian composer Giacomo Puccini on the 100th anniversary of his passing.
The concert will include some of Puccini’s most famous arias from such operas as La Bohème, Tosca, and Madame Butterfly performed by soprano Claudia Pavone and tenor Carlo Eugenio Raffaelli with pianist Elisa Montipò. The artists will also be holding a masterclass for opera singers on Friday, 20th September in collaboration with the Neemrana Music Foundation.
The event will also feature an exhibition on Puccini himself, titled “Giacomo Puccini: His Life, His Music, and His Festival” which explores the life and works of the renowned Italian composer. Additionally, it features a section dedicated to the annual Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, which celebrates his legacy with performances and cultural event.
Entry will start from 6:00pm and will be on a first come first served basis.
