Exhibition “Parallel Cities” Extended to Saturday, March 23rd

The exhibition “Parallel Cities” has been extended until Saturday, March 23rd.

The contemporary art exhibition “Parallel Cities” invites the viewers to engage in a journey that transcends the boundaries of visual arts and literature at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in New Delhi triggering an immersive space inspired by Italo Calvino’s timeless masterpiece, ‘Invisible Cities.’
The exhibition is a collateral event of India Art Fair 2024.
The exhibition brings under the same roof the visions of 8 Indian and 4 Italian contemporary artists whose works have been curated to unveil the dense tapestry of individual lives and collective identities within the enigmatic realms of parallel cities. The exhibition will also host a reconstruction of the room where Aaskaraan Chhalani from Bikaner chose to live after his wife passed away, wearing her saris and her jewellery, until he died at the age of 91.
