The Italian Embassy Cultural Centre, New Delhi in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, India and the National Museum of Crafts, invites you to meet Lithuanian artist Živilė Fornari to discover her journey of fusing Indian textiles and contemporary art. She has collaborated with traditional Indian printers in Rajasthan and Gujarat, exploring the connections between the languages of traditional motifs of India and Lithuania. Having just completed her artist residency in Ajhrakpur, Gujarat, at Sufiyan Khatri’s natural ajhrak block printing studio, she will share videos and stories from her ongoing textile project “Encrypted”.
This event takes place as part of the ongoing exhibition FABRICA.
