The Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) is preparing to welcome professionals from all over the world to its 61st edition, at the BolognaFiere Exhibition Centre, 8 to 11 April 2024. Alongside these preparations, both BCBF and BolognaBookPlus will be attending the final stage of the third Grand Tour around the world of publishing, the New Delhi World Book Fair.
Exhibitions, meetings and opportunities for discussion and exchanging ideas with professionals in the book industry (publishers, authors, illustrators, graphic designers and others), will all be promoted during the tour.
This year for the first time BCBF – flanked by BolognaBookPlus (BBPlus), the brand extension aimed at general trade publishers and produced in collaboration with the Association of Italian Publishers (AIE) – is heading to India to meet publishers, authors and illustrators. The Tour has been made possible thanks to the support of the ITA – the Italian Trade Agency and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI).
The Bologna Children’s Book Fair will be taking part in the New Delhi Book Fair with their official BCBF stall and the exhibition “Italian Excellence – Illustrators for Gianni Rodari”. A preview of the activities planned for the coming edition will be held at IHC on Feb.13th followed by a live painting performance by Alessandro Martorelli, AKA “Martoz” (cartoonist and street artist, Italy) and by Orijit Sen (graphic artist e designer, India), organised in partnership with the Italian Cultural Institute of New Delhi.
