This year we celebrate the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World with a special event on sustainable agriculture and its connections with local culture by inviting Giacomo Bianchi, the president of Arte Sella Association (the largest contemporary land art project on Alpine region), Matteo Delvai (chef specialized in Alpine ingredients) and Abeer Gupta (Achi – Arthshila).
The panel discussion will emphasize the intertwining of culinary culture with craftmanship, art, agriculture, landscaping & architecture. In this way, the audience will be made aware of the interdependence and interconnectedness of all these aspects in order to understand that cuisine is not disconnected from the century old layering of the social fabric in the vulnerable Alpine regions.
The conference will be followed by the screening of the documentary “Cucina ad alta quota” directed by Michele Melani.
Chef Matteo Delvai will also be conducting two masterclasses with students of the International Institute of Culinary Arts & the School of Indian Hospitality.
