Irena, a Ukrainian woman who has just arrived in a city in Italy does the cleaning in a building and glazing of the stairs, but her target is a family of goldsmiths who live there, the Adacher. In order to get inside the house Irena becomes friend with the housemaid, Gina, until she replaces her. From here the “Unknown” takes the form of an inexorable, progressive insertion in the family.
