The
documentary, made with materials obtained from the Archivio Luce, narrates a
little known adventure: the fascist attempt to create a unique language, a “new
Italian” suitable for dictatorship dogmas. Among neologisms, superficial
indoctrination and repression of diversity. A set of words, propaganda and quotations
from ancient texts, which tell the folly and the inevitable defeat through the
words of the Commander, the indoctrination of childhood, the repression of all
that was different when compared to the ideal of “new Italian” which had to
adapt to the dogmas of believing, obliging and fighting.”
