The history of Pirelli, one of the longest-lived multinational corporations in the history of Italy, is a case apart in terms of its corporate
culture, which combines scientific research and artistic experimentation, the promotion of talent and an international vision. It is the history of a company that has managed to export not just its products but also its corporate culture. A culture of absolute quality, excellence and the best of the Made in Italy label.
The company’s Historical Archive at the Pirelli Foundation in Milan comprises almost four kilometers of documents, which tell the 140-year old history of the Pirelli Group. The archive contains a huge section devoted to advertising and visual communication, testifying to the intense collaboration of Pirelli with intellectuals, illustrators and designers from 1872 to the present day.
